I started the business as a student at The University of Edinburgh, while studying for a degree in Business Studies. I have since graduated with an MA with First Class Honours.
The idea for the business began when I noticed that there was a considerable demand for highland dress accessories on eBay, and only second hand items on offer.
I established an account with a local wholesaler and began trading in sporrans on eBay in 2004, making us one of the first Scottish highland dress retailers to trade on eBay.
And so…Macdonald Sporrans was born.
